Booked this afternoon reading bad reviews about the original hotel I booked.Arrived about 11.30pm new york time and was shattered.Checked in quick by a lady who didn't seem to happy.Got to our room that was small and basic on the 5th floor room 518.After trying to sleep for about 3 hours I eventually had,had enough due to building work going on till the early hours of the morning about 3am.Drilling with a hammer drill and a lorry reversing and loading was enough to push me over the edge.Went down to reception and spoke to a lovely lady who apologised and another lady who was furious as she knew the hotel would get lots of complaints,and low and behold the phone at reception was going mad with people with the same issue.I ended up speaking to the manager Andrew who was supe4b and very calm and apologised but couldn't offer me another room due to the hotel being full.This kind of ruined my holiday and it had only just started.Andrew said he could get me a room.cha he tomorrow after midday so it was better then nothing.We ended up the next day leaving our luggage for free in storage and went out for the day hoping that Andrew would keep his promise.We came back and Andrew had as promised organised us a room change.It was on the 12th floor at the far end and have to say it was perfect.No bath but I didn't care as it was away from the noise and as good as they could offer.The room was actually better and bigger with more storage.That night we got a good night's sleep but the night after again it was noise but not as bad and also a parade at silly hours of the morning.I can't complaints about the hotel as to be fair it wasn't their fault but the way they handled my complaint made our holiday perfect.Security was also good with you having to show your room key to access the lifts.Breakfast grab and go was tasty and the bacon egg and cheese roll with croissant and orange juice was spot on.I didnt go to the cafe as the grab and go was just fine. Would I visit the edison again?Probably not and thays not due to the hotel or staff,as they were spot on.The location is just too noisy for me and like ive said this isn't their fault.For anyone who has booked you'll be absolutely fine as the location is perfect but just too noisyNext time ill book away from time sqaure.Thank you edison for making our visit to new york a holiday to remember.I can honestly say I've loved every minute of new york and thanks for having us. 🇬🇧🫶❤️🇺🇲🗽

Really enjoyed our stay, room was nice and spacious for NYC and the location is fantastic. The breakfast vouchers were great to use at several locations.

Hotel is nice and close to Times Square. Good service and friendly staff. The only thing I noticed in my room is there was no pen and notepad for me. Also no fridge in the room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here the last two days.
